2010 Daytime Emmys- The Official Recap

First off, thank you friends for all the luv this past week. So hectic! Not only was it a flurry of beautiful birthdays for dear friends, (including a special Bollywood birthday performance I will be posting this weekend!) but it was a collaboration of finding our Vintage chosen yellow lovely lil gal to dress my Emmy night fantastic. I finally found some simple strappies by Guess that had to be altered a bit (OK, I tore off the bow since I think you’d agree I’m a bit bowed out here), and sleek teardrop diamonds by LeVian to finish the look. I know I know… I didn’t do Beyonce pony (thanks for the votes!) but opted for a chic chignon after seeing the dress needed a lil twirly twist. Special thanks to my Pretty Posse, once again, who puts the strut to my Cinderella moments.

With that said, the crew of my show How Do I Look and family of Style Network had such a remarkable time last night. Not only did everyone look (duh) smashin in fashion, but we truly are so blessed to have a network of people who enjoy working together to change lives of deserving people every single week. And it’s always so much fun getting dressed up! I had the pleasure of presenting with the adorable Christian Le Blanc from the Young and the Restless. We had our own lil way of dishing the Makeup, Hair, and Costume categories for the Creative Arts awards.

Jeez I love our crew. Like, obsessed. Each so fantastically fun to work with and uniquely generous and loving in their own way.

Ok, so you’re dying to hear. Did we freakin win or not??? Here’s the deal— our show didn’t, BUT Style Network DID. Congrats!! As you can tell from my speech here below from last night to mai How Do I Look family, what really mattered we have already conquered:

In closing, our night was a tremendous success as we celebrated together knowing that without the effort of every P.A to every producer on set, the lives we impact onscreen and off could not be changed. Thanks to the family of Style Network for allowing this show to shine, and to our How Do I Look crew for every ounce of talent and heart you bring each day. I love you guys.

P.S. Thanks to Timmy, who captures the good, the bad, and the fugly on film, I’m able to share a moment in the one thing that I look forward to AS MUCH as I enjoy getting gussied up.
