Mai Closet – and a Letter from Steam Punk Jena
2010
Jena was such a special guest on my show. For such a small package, this beautiful woman packed a powerful punch. I’ll be the first to say there really wasn’t much to change about Jena at all, (I really liked her spunky Steampunk Style), except the perception Jena had on herself. This show reveals such amazing shades to every guest that our 1 hour show can hardly capture, but I think the best “reveal” is the one we can see, and that is when our guest goes home. Back to their normal life, normal closet, and where there are no cameras around, how do they really feel? What ends up being really reality? For Jena, this letter she wrote back to our producers said more than enough
Letter from Jena:
After seeing the episode on Style Network this past Saturday evening,
I began reflecting on all of the positive attributes that were brought
about in my life, because the whole team gave me a chance. There are
so many great things that I learned of myself and others, that I never
knew were right beneath my nose the entire time. The dark cloud that
had been following me around for years finally lost it’s grip on me,
and boom! Vanished. I’ve come to realize that every single thing that
you do in life not only effects your own, but also, the lives of
others — It’s a chain of events, that can work one way to leave you
in a muddled state of unawareness, or in just the opposite to better
yourself and to utilize those tools to help others. I appreciate so
much everything that all of you have done for me, and the positive
results that came out of being on the show.
This is my vision; I’d like to write a one time blog for the Style
Network’s “How Do I Look?” portion of the website. In one page or less
and the final editing would be in the hands of the Network of course.
I believe that it would be very inspiring to other people that are in
a similar situation to what I was and am in. I believe that since
you helped me out so much, and made me truly appreciate who I am as
well as those around me, that I am obligated to give back and promote
the positive elements of life and fashion to Style Network’s viewers.
Thanks for everything and I look forward to hearing from you telling
me what you think!
Hope all is well! :)

Hi Jeannie,
First, I would like to say that I simply adore your looks. Do you style yourself or do you have a stylist? I truly like the show and the flair you bring to it. I am not sure why I adore your style so much, but as a freelance fashionista I enjoy waiting and watching to see what else you will come up with. Especially since 95% of the things you wear I would wear myself. I love it. I follow you on twitter and you followed me back so thanks for that. I hope to truly be able to speak to you soon.

Hi Jeannie! <3 the show. You are an AMAZING host! Very warm and real.
I'd love to find out the name of some of the stores on Melrose the show shoots at. For instance, there were dresses in the DOUBLE TROUBLE episode that would be perfect for me, and I'd love to go try them on!
Thanks for all your hard work. Very empowering show. Say hi to Tim Laurie for me!
Thanks for watching Lis! May be hard for me to remember from which episode, actually Tim would be a great person to email this question!
Jeannie, I am not a fashionista~ I don’t even play one on tv. I am a cowgirl and wear jeans, boots and tank tops all summer. Of course it changes in the winter to jeans, turtlenecks, sweaters and coats, with a lovely MUDD boot to round it all out.
I do like clothes however and I love all the outfits you wear! Especially the wispy little number you had on for Jena’s reveal! wow!
Just wanted to say thanks for the fun and for the tears ( every darn episode!) and the inspiration. If I ever have to get gussied up, I’ll know now to go about it!
Babs, you’re a dollface! Don’t you worry girl, I get the cowgirl in you because I married a cowboy myself
Thank you for watching our show and supporting what style can do for everyone!
Jeannie,
I have been admiring your tiny, discreet nose ring for some time now and have tried researching it on the internet to no avail.
What kind of stud is it, and what size? I would love to have one just like it!
Thanks!
Me too! I’ve been doing Internet research, trying to find out what size stud you have, and where to get such a classy, perfectly gorgeous little sparkly stud. It looks amazing on you, Jeannie!
It’s seriously just a simple, tiny, silver stud you can get at most any tattoo shop
