I LOVE reading. Remember Reading Rainbow w/ Levar Burton? I used to dream I could be one of those kids who would share their favorite must reads. And after reading this book, I realized I can start doing that now.
So, welcome to Mai Book Club.
I really enjoyed reading ‘Failure to Thrive’. It was written by a dear friend of mine, Jeffrey Oliver, who is one of those guys who takes real life sitches and curveballs it into a humorous (usually making fun of himself), direction that you never would have originally thought, but then realize is true. So it was exciting to me to see him take this perspective and layer it into a book. Now that book itself has a dark comedic edge, and all this involves morality, marriage, and parenthood. I’ve always been attracted to stories of people facing opposition and here, the main character who is a Canadian TV producer, gets bad news regarding his health and catches his wife cheating. He decides to make a very important pledge to himself, and proceeds to make it through his life with a unique perspective that enlightened me in a way I didn’t expect.
I loved reading it and laughing out loud over the unexpected situations, that totally have happened to people in my life. This books makes it relatable to lead those friends through anything.
Hope you grab a copy- you’ll enjoy it. And make sure u share your thoughts here!

Sounds awesome! Just c hecked Amazon UK and can’t see it on there so maybe it’s only available in the US?
My recently read and highly recommended is ‘Who’s afraid of Mr Wolfe?’ by Hazel Osmond. A romaance recommended to me by a friend. I could not put the book down!
My current read is ‘The Help’. After having seen the movie, which I loved, a lady who I see at the bus stop let me borrow her copy of this book and it’s such a great read!
