Thanks to everyone for watching this week’s episode with Edith!! I’ve been getting so many emails for a few featured outfits, which I’m so glad you all dig bcuz not only were they stylish, but some were stealz as well! If you’re like me, you majorly heart great deals. So count on me to always give ya the Haute Hook-up..from head to toe cuz with fashion, you can never have TMI.
*I like to have all my outfits centered around a signature pop piece (in capitals below). Think of yourself as yummy banqueting table of fashion, with focus to one centerpiece. Helps keeps you fashionably fun without going overboard.

SHIRT- Ben Sherman –STILL HALF OFF!!! I bought this at the flagship store here in LA for 40% off, and believe it or not, YOU can get it for more than ½ off now online here. For a fun layered effect, find a thin cotton button up with a bright print to have peeking thru. Twelve by 12 (by Forever 21)  has fantastic low priced shirts perfect for layering.
Makeup- MAC’s Greensmoke Shadow with lots of Smolder Black Khol liner
Hair- I did this playful “pomp” with a fierce backcomb with my ultimate never leave home without Mason Pierson. This brush can cost quite a buck, but I’ve found this site to be great with free shipping and price. Don’t even think twice, OWN THIS. It will transform your tresses.

    It aired Saturday morning (Aug 8) @ around 10am. It was a purple strappy dress with buttons on the front and you paired it with a funky belt (contrasting pattern?) Let me know if you find out where its from.

    Omg..I had to literally go back in the archive of outfits to find this –and I got it! Emily it’s a Myne Ashley Ann make.     i loved that coral colored dress you wore on one of the episodes I’m not sure episode it was but it was with the woman who wore her husbands clothes.     My name is Lauren Grose and I am starting my first office job this week. I have just graduated from College and I am 23. I wanted to know if you had any tips on how I should dress for my first day of work. I am told it is a business casual dress code. I am entering this company as a graphic designer and I wanted to know how far I can go with the creativity of my wardrobe and accessories. I have a nose stud as well, is that appropriate? If you could answer these questions for me it would help me so much and I would greatly appreciate it. I love your show and your style and I was hoping you could impart some of your wisdom.     Hi Lauren! I’m so excited for your job opp…congrats! At a time like this with our economy, I take every business as a blessing. So I’m glad you’re making this first impression be a lasting one.

    I suggest you dress for success. With that, I applaud you to embrace your creativity and tastefully choose the office-appropriate outfits that allow you to be taken seriously for your talents. Don’t let your style be a distraction. Meaning- any loud accessories, chains, too many bangles, clutter, leave em at home. Think polished and sleek with a hip cool touch. You sound like a chic young woman who can get creative with what you have so your style speaks just enough. With the nose ring, I suggest you remove it for the first week, just to feel out the atmosphere of your job, and decide the week after. Again, first impression is everything. After everyone gets your talent and work, they’ll appreciate your style and swag you bring after because you’ll have their RESPECT by then.

    OH NO! Are you serious?? Ughhhh, I’m so sorrry Renata! After I posted it on this blog, THEY SOLD OUT THAT SAME DAY. I didn’t know if they’d replenish. I would check out the store–last I was there I saw similar structured shirts. A tad higher in price , but well worth it!

    I just love the last episode, as always…lol That lady really needed some help. I liked the way that you say to her ” You look a Barbie at the jungle “lolol. It’s good have a piece of tiger or animal, but wear just this is very overwhelming. My ‘tip’ is ,I bought a preatty animal print shoe and the day/night that I want to be a little wide I put it on with a black dress. I’m glad that you said to her lolol. On the reveal she looked very pretty and more important confident. I didn’t like a bit of her black hair, I think blonde was better on her, but change is always good :) …

    Hi Jeannie,
    I love the opening dress you wore on the episode Kindergarten Couture (1-23-10). It was a two tone asymmetrical dress, the top was a deep red with a large flower and the bottom was black below the knee. Can you tell me where the dress came from or the designer name. I have a big event coming up and would love to wear this dress.

    Hi Jeannie! I LOVE the black shirt I saw you wearing during a recent interlude on style.com. I love it so much it is inspiring me to watch your show. Can you help me find it? I think you wore it with jeans/pants. It was simple, but just awesome. Silky material, sleeveless and the neck line was a strand of the same material with the bottom part scrunched around it. Not a very elegant description on my part, but the top was amazing. I’d love to find it. Thank you very much! Renee

    The only black tops that come to my mind are the Karen Millen asymmetrical top, or the Victoria Secret blouses I ordered for you online, but it doesn’t fit your description exactly. Hope that helps!
