It’s taking place now and runs through November 6, and is a competition between causes on Facebook to see who can get the most unique (daily one-time) donors.  The cause with the most daily unique donors at the end of the month gets $50,000, and the runners-up get $25,000.  In addition, they have daily prizes for the causes with most unique donors that day—winner gets $1000 and runner up gets $500.  So far the daily winners have been getting about 50 donors, and the lead organization for the grand prize has a total of 220 unique donors–not that many!

I always teach my friends how to shop strategically. Sure, there’s those signature finds you just must own because you’ll never find em again, but the best way to get most bang outta ur buck is to shop for pieces you can wear in various ways. A surefire way for me to buy is if I can think of 3 ways I can wear that top, skirt, scarf, etc, right there in the store. Not only will you love the diverse closet you’ll have of mix and match staple items, but you’ll also stretch your styling muscles to be more creative in your unique couture. Remember friends: Fashion fades, but style is eternal!

This week I sat with Kim to cover the her exciting new involvement with Fusion Beauty’s new lipgloss, a line of lip plumping glosses that obviously work extremely well for the gorgeous girl. Maybe cuz I went overboard on the vino from Labor Day, maybe because I was feeling lonely driving up and down the bare La Brea streets as the rest of LA decides to leave me for Labor Day, but either way there I was for lunch, craving something hearty and healthy and wholesome-ly cleansing…and the cayenne lemonade thing was not gonna do it. Better yet, I knew exactly where to go because not only would I get the most filling wholesome detox meal ever, but I’d get an OVER fill of love and appreciation to see my great friend Tigre at the same time. So off I went to Chef Rawsheed’s Sun Power Natural Cafe in Studio City, LA.

Ok, not only did I sit down in the most adorable lil corner cafe to a DELICIOUS delightful meal of the “BBQ Burger” made out of sunflower bread, marinated mushrooms and onions and a Raw Marninara Pizza with Cashew Cheese and this “chorizo” thing made out of something stupid fantastic that I literally had an orgasm in this public place. Ok, maybe I’m taking it overboard.. .but I seriously LOVED it. I’m a hugie foodie for anything, but especially Raw. I went Raw for 30 days a few months ago and have adopted the holistic way of eating into my diet whenever I can. But the best part to this yummy blog isn’t so much the food- but about the beautiful heart behind the delicious dishes made. My great friend and Chef Tigre is the newest member to the team who adds the life and zest to the entire place beyond the food. Anyway, make your way out there and do give Chef Tigre a huge hug for me. And congrats him cuz his glow isn’t just from his delish dishes, but also from just getting engaged!
