Piers Morgan Tonight – Gary Vaynerchuk- Thank You Economy Interview

Another great shout out to my boy Gary Vaynerchuk.

Mai fave part is when he says being born where there were many immigrants “ridiculous hard work….is interesting to me.”

This is for anybody who wants to build a business. Create a relationship w/ your consumers.

Care.

Preach it brother.

Facebook’s Buying Instagram for a Billion Dollars

I just heart smart people. Especially when they financially cash in on doing something that just improved or created more savvy communication for society. Enjoy this story!

Mark Zuckerburg just announced that Facebook has agreed to buy mega-popular photo sharing service Instagram for $1 billion. Facebook’s been on a buying spree of late, and has been beefing up its own already-ubiquitous photo sharing service lately as well. But it looks like it just landed a whale.

Facebook is already one of the biggest photo sharing destinations on the web. Everyone’s on Facebook, and so are all their pictures. But Instagram isn’t just another photo sharing service; it’s basically everyone’s favorite little social network. And unlike Twitter, the last little social network that didn’t stay little, Facebook’s nipping Instagram in the bud before it takes on a life of its own.

Happy Easter bugs.

Happy Easter Mai love bugs. May you enjoy time with your family and your easter egg hunts!

and join me in an Easter prayer.

Your light is the only light we need
as we travel through life’s mystery
Your word the only voice we hear
that still small voice that leads us
to the place where we should be
Your presence is the only company we need
as we walk this narrow road
Your fellowship the warmth we crave
to help us on our way

May the truth of Easter
The joy of Easter
And the blessings of Easter
Be with us this day and all days
AMEN

Mai Book Club: ‘Failure to Thrive’

Get the Failure to Thrive Here

I LOVE reading. Remember Reading Rainbow w/ Levar Burton? I used to dream I could be one of those kids who would share their favorite must reads. And after reading this book, I realized I can start doing that now.

So, welcome to Mai Book Club.

I really enjoyed reading ‘Failure to Thrive’. It was written by a dear friend of mine, Jeffrey Oliver, who is one of those guys who takes real life sitches and curveballs it into a humorous (usually making fun of himself), direction that you never would have originally thought, but then realize is true. So it was exciting to me to see him take this perspective and layer it into a book. Now that book itself has a dark comedic edge, and all this involves morality, marriage, and parenthood. I’ve always been attracted to stories of people facing opposition and here, the main character who is a Canadian TV producer, gets bad news regarding his health and catches his wife cheating. He decides to make a very important pledge to himself, and proceeds to make it through his life with a unique perspective that enlightened me in a way I didn’t expect.

I loved reading it and laughing out loud over the unexpected situations, that totally have happened to people in my life. This books makes it relatable to lead those friends through anything.

Hope you grab a copy- you’ll enjoy it. And make sure u share your thoughts here!
