How can I Pray it Forward with you?

// February 5th, 2010 // A-freakn-men!!, Mai News, Pray It Forward

Oh my gosh, I had the most amazing weekend I have to share with you guys.

If you live here in LA you know that it was raining like crazy for a hot second. Last week for like 5 days straight- . And everyday I was envisioning my beloved lil surviving prayer box up on that hill by itself getting soaked, possibly even blown off the hill. (I have a very dramatic imagination.) Well, I went up there right when the rain stopped for a second to check on the box, and yes it was safe! So I filled it up with fresh paper and new pens. That was 4 days ago.

Today, I hiked up to the top just to drop off some prayers (Kelly, prayin for your job situation! and my dear friend Rosa, need a miracle for her health.) Again, this is FOUR days later, and watch this video to see what I found!

THANK YOU to friends who make it to Runyon to Pray it Forward! I hope I see you there someday. It’s simple: all u have to do is leave a prayer, then take a prayer. And to those who can’t make it, do send your prayers to jmail@iheartjeanniemai.com and I’ll get it in.

(Also don’t forget to join me THIS SAT, 2/6, for my Live Chat after my show! Here’s how: http://bit.ly/bOp2SX)

Hi Jeannie.. i love this so much. I can only imagine each person climbing that hill thinking about someone in their life they may have lost, situations such as a job or relationship that may be causing stress, anything that we deal with on a day to day basis. Being outside, challenging our bodies and then coming upon your prayer box. Surely each person must of thought, “what a miracle” I can pray, write it down, seal it in this box and possible find answers or closure. I think this is such an ingenious idea. Once again your heart is always in the right place, changing peoples lives in a wonderful positive way.

You get it Babs. Imagine the mustard seed of faith YOU took to write your prayer down, then to have somebody else’s intimate piece of hope returned. You can’t help but pray it forward :)

  13. jeannie says:

    Hey Jeannie,

This is such an inspiring idea, and it is even more encouraging to see that this idea has ministered to so many people.

I like the idea because anyone can pray… regardless of their faith background. Prayer is something that is available to all. This idea has the power to meet that need and privilege that we all have.

I am a youth minister in the Los Angeles area, and recently we’ve had two students in very difficult crisis situations. it has been amazing to see how many prayers have flooded and covered the lives of these two students. We have seen amazing things happen in the lives of these two students.

So know that this idea is important and it is making a powerful difference in the lives of the people that are prayed over.

I just stumbled onto your blog today. I plan to read more of the older posts this afternoon and follow it in the future. Keep it up!

Jordan, you’re so right. ANYBODY can pray, and that’s the whole intention behind Praying it Forward-to see a community connected thru the most powerful element we need to have: fatih.

I’ll be praying for your two students and their crisis. Do keep me posted how else I can pray.

  17. Jordan says:

    Jeannie,

Thanks so much for you’re concern and prayers. One of the students is doing so much better. She is off suicide watch and seeing a counselor. The other is still struggling. Please continue to pray. It is so neat to have someone I don’t know praying for students they don’t know. It is inspiring.

My guess is not too many people comment and ask you this but please let me know if there is anything that you need prayer for!!

    Have a great day!

  18. jeannie says:

This is tremendous to ME that you’d share this. I will absolutely make sure his voice is heard in the prayer box. Thank you Jordan.
