Mai #Wearapy spring look made the April 22nd issue of Star!
Happy Tuesday Mai bugs,
Hope everyone is well rested from the weekend!
This weekend, I had the absolute pleasure of taking the Grand Prize Winner of the Ford Fusion Street Chic Sweepstakes shopping. Let me introduce to you the gorgeous Terrie.
Terrie is a mom and grandma who lives in Stockton, KS. Just this past year, she reconnected with the love of her life, after 32 years!
Terrie and I spent Saturday working the mall! And picking out some fabulous clothing, shoes and accessories! Here are some highlights:
- Like a bad hair day, horizontal stripes can make it a bad wear day. We had to get rid of her stripes and jazz her up.
- Terrie had a very worn out brazier that would make any top she put on ill-fitting. Into the dressing room she goes for a new bra. Immediately could see the difference with a correct fitting bra. Now we can say hi to the ladies.
- Did you know that 80% of women have the wrong size bra? Now Terrie can take herself out of that equation.
Now check Terrie out – foxy! Liquid liner drew out her hazel eyes, and we played up her cheeks with a touch of blush, and a few more sig touches to light up that smile.
Terrie and Ford Fusion, it’s been a blast working with you!
I heart you!
Here are more shots from the wonderful day, do get out and grab the issue out on stands now! Special thanks to the amazing team at Pivotal PR, talented stylist Eri Beverly (who taught me all about mai newest obsesh, Cult Gaia headbands, and of course the creative genius photographer Josh Madson ho made the entire experience so much fun.
Which look do you guys like most?
Thanks so much to everyone who followed along on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram on such a fun night at the Globes. I quite think it was mai fave awards shows yet with so many Best Dressed to choose from! I loved reading along on everyone’s comments- here were a few that I totally agreed with.
And some not so much…but hey every opinion counts.
If you have to ask, mai absolute pick for Best Dressed was…Kate Hudson hands down. The plunge had mai jaw drop just as far:

If you ladies were anything like I was as young girl, drooling over the Guess ads donning the famous faces of Drew Barrymore to Anna Nicole Smith, then you know they’ve made some historical strides when it comes to the evolution of strong, feminine style.
It was a beautiful event last night at the new LA hotspot Laurel Hardware, (sickkkk rustic luxe decor, and great delicious food, too). Thanks so much to W Magazine and Guess for having me as your guest.
So excited to see who will be gracing the Guess face for the next 30 years to come! And of course, special thanks to the following for Mai outfit yesterday. I chose to wear #White to symbolize feeling refreshed and clean with a happy healthy bod after being in bed with the flu for a week, whew! (Check out my deets here how to give the flu the finger, belch.) Here are the deets below:

First off, I heard about this stuff from a tree hugging friend of mine…and all of her friends surrounding her on that day, that it was best stuff on the planet to take when fighting off or defending from getting sick. I’d like to say I was wary at first, but when your friend’s doing crazy things like eating tree sap and gets overjoyed about yarn, you get curious.
So I picked some up from Whole Foods (call your local store, I’ve found some that don’t carry it), and kept it around me on set while shooting “How Do I Look.” Lo and behold, the moment I so much as felt a sneeze coming on, I would take 3 full droppers of the (horrible tasting) stuff and voila, be perfectly fine the next day. On days where I would already catch the cold and feel it heading towards doomsville, I would load up on the stuff and sure enough, gone OR 80% better the next day.
Even better, check out the reviews on Amazon that rave about the stuff. I was shocked to see they mimic the same way I felt!
In essence, pick up some Wellness and keep at home and another for travel. Couple of other interesting facts:
- I don’t find that the pills work as well. Stick to drops.
- If you travel with the formula for airplanes, carry the smaller size that is 2 oz. Carry on limit to liquids is 3 oz.
- Again this works as a deterrent if you’re lightly coming down with something, an enhancer to your immune system should you may be around germs, or are ill and want to boost getting better with the combination of rest & fluids.
- I feel I have now discovered the all hale combo pack when it comes to being sick since I came home with a bad flu after I couldn’t find this stuff in Pennsylvania, and that is Wellness drops, and this immune building juice from Uzmee!
Here’s to a healthy 2013!

What an unforgettable night for the 2012 Miss Universe competition yesterday! Thank you to everyone who tweeted and followed along to keep up with the evening and engage in our final question, and thank you for being by mai side in fashionable support on Instagram and Twitter. A lot of you asked about the talented designers behind the beautiful gowns I was lucky enough to wear, so I’ll be sharing all that here below.
But first, a massive congrats to our new Miss Universe, former Miss USA Olivia Culpo. Here’s to an exciting year ahead of empowering every young woman and girl she meets to overcome what can seem the impossible.
I also want to let Miss Philippines, Janine Tugonon, know that I think she is quite a talented and special young woman. She competed gracefully and had a beautiful unique quality about her. Not to mention, I found her answer to the final question to be utmost inspiring. Good luck to you Miss Philippines, I have a feeling we’ll be seeing you accomplishing great things in the near future.
The first gown I wore was a Sherri Hill design. I think every girl has a moment in her life where she’s almost hypnotized by the glitz & glitter of a jewel encrusted gown. Well, this may have been the hundredth time it’s happened to me, so I’m a veteran.
More pics of red carpet here:
I apologize for not having a better pic of Dress 2. Once I busted the wardrobe change I would have been stampeded by half nekkid, oiled up bikini babes had I not gotten the hell out of the way. Safety first folks.
Dress #2: Theia
Cuff: Deepa Gurnani
Heels: Pelle Moda
Btw..officially in love w/ Timomatic, one of our musical guests for the evening. Besides being talented, he was so sweet and polite…the kinda guy you almost wouldn’t want to share with one of your deserving single friends.
Andy and Giuliana light up the stage every time, love working with these guys.
Special thanks to the entire Miss Universe Organization and Mr. Donald Trump for having me, and to all our family, friends, and supporters around the world for watching. Take care of one another and enjoy the countdown to the holidays!
